Whenever I walk on the beach I always love the feel of the sand beneath my toes. I have never once thought of sand as being ground up rocks. I guess I just don't get that deep about details. Using a macro lens will open your eyes up to details. The texture of sand has a whole different meaning to me now. These little tiny rocks don't look like they would have a nice texture between your toes if you judge them from this picture.
This morning I woke up and saw this outside. It was misty and dreamy looking across the golf course that backs up to my back yard. The texture of the sleeping grass changes as you peer deeper across the expanse of the green. (the brown this time of year)
A friend and I were talking about doing a photo challenge this year. She is posting once a week with one picture a day of that week's topic. Join us if you would like!
Here are the topics linked from her blog for the next little while.
