laundry light redo

Welcome to my laundry room.  After looking at these pictures I am really kind of grossed out.  I think I need to do a little more than replace my light fixture!
This light fixture was great, I love it, but it does not provide enough light for me.  I cut hair in here too, so I need a lot of light.  I needed to find something that would work better for me.

I found this little chandelier at Down East Home.  It's really cute, but it's also biege.  Me and biege don't get along very well.  We've had a rocky relationship since 1978.
Since I am into quick fixes, I decided spray paint would help out with the aforementioned relationship.

This really tacky colorful sheet has been around and has helped me in many a spray paint projects.

Phew!, that took me a whole 4 minutes to do.
Stringing the beads back on and making them even took half the day.

Ugh, I have a lot going on in this room :/
I didn't realize how cluttered this small space looks like until I looked at these pictures.  Now I need to make some heavy decisions on what to do next.  I think the first thing would be to yank off those terrible fake ivy leaf things on the stained glass windows.

This is just one of the many little nooks and crannies in this small space.

I didn't paint the chain or base.  Was that a mistake?  Comment on what you think about the chain.

Your new light is awesome! Way to go making it a fun color. I have been wanting to add a chandelier into my laundry room for YEARS! I actually had a picture of one posted inside the laundry room cabinet door that I wanted to get, but it hung there for so long that I finally took it down and threw it away.

You have inspired me to be on the lookout once more, Jules. Your upgraded light fixture is darling.
